石原康臣 ISHIHARA Yasuomi
映像・写真・インスタレーションを主な媒体とし、日常の場所が非日常へ変質する瞬間を扱う。
霧に包まれる山、黄昏時の木陰、赤い光に満たされた室内、定点観測された風景を通して、此岸と彼岸、生と死、記憶と不在の境界を探る。
日本の実験映画・ビデオアートの黎明期を担った萩原朔美から受け取った問いを、現在の映像・写真・空間表現へと接続している。
Yasuomi Ishihara works primarily with video, photography, and installation, exploring moments when familiar places shift into unfamiliar states.
Through mountains enveloped in mist, shadows at twilight, rooms filled with red light, and landscapes observed from fixed points, his work examines the boundaries between this world and the other side, life and death, memory and absence.
Drawing on the questions inherited from Sakumi Hagiwara, a pioneering figure in experimental film and video art, Ishihara connects those concerns to contemporary forms of video, photography, and spatial practice.
